Entering 2014

2014... Arif Hakim moving to Little Caliph kindergarten. Alhamdulillah, he has no issue to wake up as early at 6:30am and get ready to school (apart from carry him to bathroom and settle him after shower... he he).

My blessing would always be with you..wish you become a good caliph, insyaAllah.

 

2014... Nur Ain Nazihah, become more independent now, accompany her to school only on the first day to ensure she is fine in managing her self for transit, transport, etc. She gonna have a tough schedule this year by having classes from 8am to 6:40pm. Ibu would have to trust you now and hope everything goes well... I'm know that I can count on you and you definitely won't let me down.

All that I can say... please take care dear :)

 

2014... Farish Daniyal continue to cheers the family... he started to show his interest in exploring, pay attention to what he hears/sees.. He squeals, bubbling a lot now.. He is turning 6 months soon but he just fit nicely in 9 months old suit :p

Exclusive breasfeeding challenge

Farish Daniyal offers me totally new experience in my journey to exclusive breasfeeding. Due to let down and frequent engorgement, I have started expressing since day 3 of confinement. 

This is my 7 years old breast pump - Avent manul. You have served me so much henceforth time for your retirement, I guess..since getting older, using manual pump is a bit tiring and giving pressure to my amr's vein (mengada-ngada pun yer)..expressing while feeding also a bit challenging..

 



Then, I brought home this Medela Swing electric breast pump that can be operated with power or batteries. I found it easy to handle with less parts to assemble and dissemble for washing..obviously it's light weight and mobile for travel use. However, I'll felt a little pain from the suction. I've discovered that the standard breast shield comes in the package was not suitable for me and it works better without anymore pain after I've changed the breast shield from 24mm to 27mm. 

Unfortunately, it still take too long for me to settle down (sampai tertido la dalam mother's room). For a month, I used both breast pump to speed up the expressing process while looking for a better solution.

I'm finally met up with Avent (Philips) ISIS IQ Duo electric and I've fallen love with it. With advantage of transforming into manual mode, it has tremendous performance. Differ from other electric breast pump that control the suction by pressing increasing/decreasing button, ISIS IQ Duo store the desired pumping rhythm in her memory even after switched off.

It takes approximately 30 minutes for me to fill up 5oz x2 hence this time saving behavior makes me love her more. She's now become my BFF..he he..two thumbs up!

I'm pushing my level best to collect the EBM as much as possible and hope could maintain the supply for complete two years..Ameen~

Wah..semangatnya dia nak ikut Kakak Solat. Kira boleh la tu walopun carca marba lagik turutannya, Alhamdulillah..it's a good start, son..keep it up! :)

 

 

 

Farish Daniyal - Bed Time

Sleepyhead, close your eyes.

mother’s right here beside you.

so sleep on, with no fear...

 

 

Sempoi jek routine bedtime baby Daniyal ni..dah kenyang, just put him on bed and talk to him for a while...then play Dzikir or lullaby songs (kakak and abang would offer hands at this stage :p)..wind down la kononnyer. In less than 15 minutes he'll drift quietly off to sleep.

 

Next step..wrap. Daniyal ni lain skit dari abang and kakak dia who hate bedung so much. Since napkin dah for sure la tak muat nak wrap dia at this age..so I bought flannel fabric, 1 meter just nice for a wrapper..Jahit tepi jek, senang. Oh, satu lagik bean sprout kernels pillow also aid him sleep better. Kononnyer by placing the organic pillow horizontally over the baby's chest or tummy, comforting him with sense of security for a good sleep. He also manage to get back to sleep on his own if he wake up during the night unless if he need a feeding. Sayanggg Daniyal..senang btul nak handle :x

 

Btw, kereta kat kepala dia tu bkn toys yer..it's MP3 player to play Dzikir and Quran recitation..he hee
